Dont know if Im being a bit dense on this one but am not too sure when it comes to wheels.
Will a set of 7 x 18" OZ wheels with a 48mm offset go straight on to my 97 classic or will it need a bit of arch mod?
Any help appreciated!
With 215/35/18's They will be ok but with the larger 225's mine just touched.

bobs was 8" wide with a lesser offset
so 7. x 18 with your offset will fit no probs
best go for 215/35 still
you sure they are 7" wide , most OZ are 7.5 or even 8
still be ok though

Thats what Ive been told, but will check!
Cheers
I had 7.5 X 18 with subaru recommended 48mm offset...225's would touch on heavy load bumps or driving very hard.

These are my wheels 7X18 with 50 o/s the tyres are 215x35x18 they went straight on no probs, but you have to watch the speed bumps and potholes and kerbs cos theres not alot of sidewall.

thought yours was 8" wide bob ?
7.5x18 with 48mm should be fine
hold on, you had 225s innit

When you mentioned they had the wrong offset at Haynes I checked up on um..Had 7.5X18 stamped on rim so gave the wheel company a ring and asked for offset 48mm..But them 225 tyres were just a little wide, what with the car lowered as well...
