I cant tell you much but will try.
First you probable wont get any Service History, if you do it will be useless unless you can read Jap. lol
If possible check the chassis No matches any paperwork Available.
Make sure all the Pannels align correctly, missaligned Pannels could mean Accident Damage as could miss match paint colours.
its low mileage so should not be any mechanical issues, but would be worth checking the Oil and Water anyway.
Hope this Helps.

Auction grade 5 is - "Vehicle is in near new condition. All origional body parts. No repair needed on vehicle. Usually only given to vehicles less than 3 years old. Body work in top condition."
So sounds ok, is it 11000 miles or kilometers?
Is it a fresh import or has it had a uk owner?
If it is a new import with 11000 kilometers I would expect it to be in 'as new' condition, in my experience the Japs generally take very good care of their cars.

11000 miles , i believe uk history is held so would assume uk owner to .

present wrx running great 310bhp/322 ibs/torq but difficult to take further ,
i've heard it's running that on the standard TD04 turbo :scratchchin:
IF that's true then why not just go for a bigger turbo ?
vf35 or td05/18g , , , should see 360 / 360 with either.

hi dazza
yep its a standard turbo , but the engine is wrx and to go further would need to replace with sti parts or basically it would melt . Could drop a 2.5 in for roughly the price of upgrading but where do you stop!!!!!!
Thinking with sti this one presently 290/290 it might be more sensible inthe long run .
the wrx is running great though its a tough one to get the old head around!
andy:confused:
still confused!

i'm confused,lol.
how the f..k do you get that power out of a standard TD04
i spoke to martin and alan about your car . . . i thought it may be a hybrid version that andy F makes but they assure me it's standard , , unless it's a TD05 in your model
have a look in the portreath thread , i've just put in a post about more drag racing :)

Seen the thread in celt/m , yea id be up for that sometime this year , the portreath one is september sometime if you fancy it i went on the saturday and had about 20 runs (yep 20!!!) . £15 for the day .
The turbo is standard , bigger injectors , fmic , boost controller etc runs like a dream hopefully you can see where im coming from its probably 50/50 but ive gotta be clear now , cos i dont wanna go down the wrong route (AJs have done a brilliant job by the way!)

still got to find out which turbo is on it, i had a good look at your car at SWMS, very impressive, must be a TD05/16g
BOBBBBBBBBBBBBBBB, help lol
martin told me you were making 120mph passes at portreath , which would put you in the 11s
plumbscooby
28-06-2006, 00:24 21
on the computer it was 119mph but as discussed with graham 22 earlier in that thread we reckon they wre optomistic my times there were around 15 seconds which would confirm that , i still had a load of craap in the boot that i should have dumped though(forgot!!)
Pity 11 secs would have been very nice!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(graham did on his bike) The quickest i saw was a toyota hilux 11 seconds

plumbscooby
03-07-2006, 18:30 50

i got the vf34
regret not getting the TD05/18g instead to be honest
TD much much stronger and gives an extra 20/20 with no more lag than the vf34 , and aint much dearer

mines approx 345 / 345 on ap motors rollers and interpro
but only made 270bhp on alans , then 300 the 2nd time
he did say my AFR was out, running WAY too rich, not enough air, i stripped down all the intercooler and refitted it using different clips and hoses then got it up 30 bhp
but its run on other rollers with no problems , , , some people have suggested the size of alans fan , but most of the other cars on the days ran fine and alan did give me my 2nd power run for free , so big up to him, he was as disappointed as i was. first time it ran it the car was cold, aj does like to run the lower power cars first and mine was 3rd from last, 2nd time he did the same but i went for a half mile drive before, if i go again then i'll go for a 3 - 4 mile drive then stick it on.... i've had my mapper check it and he said the afr was fine <confused> , i put it down to the car not running at 'normal' temperature tbh , i do believe my old blitz was blowing but don't think that would have mattered 45 - 75 bhp
i'm not bringing up an old subject, (if aj or mj read this) just stating facts :)

on the original topic be a little wary of said garage. Went to have a look at a car there a while back and was refused a test drive unless I gave a non-refundable deposit and also turned up an hour earlier than I orginally told them and caught them trying to bodge up some bodywork. Just didn't fill me with confidence.
That's definately not good:mad:
