Hi,
My Name Is Derek Clarke, I am the Club Chairman, Administrator & N.Devon Meets coordinator.

I am 32 Years old and Married to Sally, who is 30. We have 4 Children, and Love motorsports. Parachute Jumping (Only Done it the Once but Plannng another). Theme Parks. anything with Thrills really.
I drive a 93 WRX Type Ra, (Thats when the Engine is not Blown up.) Doh!!

I joined South West Scoobies about a Year ago, and before long i was N.Devon meets coordinator. their was some issues with the previous Administrator, that led to me opening a New forum for all the Members. Making me the new Administrator, The club has since come a Long way. and we continued to grow.
When I joined their was only 100 members we now have over 500. at the growth rate we could Not continue with the Free forums we were Using, and it became Obvious we had to Purchase Forum Software and get webspace. to host the New Forum.
The New Forum was Planned to be Launced in January, but due to Technical Issues with the free site we had to bring it forward, to mid December. he Software Proved a Success and has Greatly Improved the Club.
I continued to update and add to the forum Software.
Recently The SWS Team Felt we needed to intorduce a Committee, All members were invited to apply for a position on the Committee,
then those who came forward were put in the Election. I was Elected along with 4 other members. Once elected I was Nominated by the Committee as Club Chairman.
I aim to continue improving the club and ensuring your continuing enjoyment on the site and at our meets and events.
I look forward to meeting you all at an event soon.
