Just renewed my insurance with Elephant for £449 with protected N.C.B. I tried the SIDC sceem through Keith Michaels but they could not get within a hundred quid of it. Gary Moulson said they would have trouble getting any new age Impreza below £500.

Gary could only get mine down to £1000 and that was with an extra £50 off for jerking me around. A plan came in at £720 with all mods /legal/protected NCB.

I'd like to be positive and say of course it will. I remember "when you get to 21 it'll come down" then "25" then "30" then "35" Every time it's gone up..apart from the last time when it dropped £450. Put simply with Norwich Union increasing prices by 40% followed by everyone else, don't hold your breath

well i rang up today, had a little moan about the amount of money i have put through their company since 1999 an by holding on the phone for 5 mins i was told they would knock it down to £906.

just goes to show that us british moaners can get things if you have a moan!

dont think i could moan my way down to £400 tho! :action-smiley-060:

Got my insurance to sort out when I get home, was with norwich union direct but they messed me around while I was away, so if they dont quote me happy when I get back after giving them a mouthful then I'll be looking else where. Any suggestions?

There are advantages to getting old. However to get fully comp any which way you can for £1800 on a scoob isn't bad going imho

I got £997, 9 points in last 5 years, 1 years ncb and an accident last year. Its4me.com. just had a quote in from elephant, 2906. I think not. Went on google and put in car insurance in the search. At the top is insuresupermarket.com. Got loads of cheap quotes from that.
