Hi All
I currently have a magnex centre section fitted but still have the original downpipe fitted, will I need to refit the standard mid section for the MOT ?????

As long as the cat is on the downpipe and the emmisions are ok,then it should be fine. If theres a cat in the system then they cant fail it in that aspect.

Cheers Steve, yeah the cat is still in the downpipe, im gonna wait for the mot and then have a decat downpipe fitted, will the car need re mapping then as it will be fully decatted ???

No problem mate, i have just had mine mot'd so on the look out for a de-cat downpipe myself.

either cat will pass the emisions test but your better with the downpipe if you only replace 1 so yours will be fine
i replace the centre but really warm it up then straight on the machine , just passes :)
if your after a decent downpipe, try H+S , they'll make anything you want,i have an open neck 3" bore with 2.5" flange to fit to standard centre ;)
not the cheapest but definitly the best , cost around 225 iirc

I had an H & S on my WRX 3 down to 2.5 at the centre....was a very well made pipe which fitted well.....reccommend one:smile:
