This should be organised for a private room.
Olly P
02-02-2007, 11:23 01
No need for a private room, the meeting is an open one which anyone can attend.
The only problem would be if there wasn't enough room or it was too noisy to hear whats being said.
Agent Smith

thats the problem with holding it in a pub, the noise, distractions etc.
The M@trix
02-02-2007, 12:41 32
Being a Sunday around Lunch Time I fully expect the Pub to Be packed with people having Sunday Lunch etc.
I Admit this was obviously not taken into consideration. I did not organise the Venue, it was chosen by other members as being a Midway Location.
If members wanted a Private Venue it would be difficult to organise at this late time. But i would probably be able to organise this in the N.Devon Leisure Center as Bigals is the Manager.
But this would mean Members having to travel further.
Derek
Might be a good idea to use a room then Derek. If you can arange this we could do a mass email.

I apreciate this is Very late notice but we have to consider.
this was an AGM not a Meet where we will just be going in for lunch and a few Drinks.
we are going to discuss Club issues, by means of a Debate.
We did not contact the original Venue to see if this would be ok with them.
for 20 odd peope to just turn up for a Debate.
in what will more than likely be a Busy pub with lots of people in and out for Lunch, we would be taking up space they could be using. we know how Busy Pubs get around this time on a Sunday Afternoon.

Sorry but their was No-time to wait for any sort of Decision.
Bigals leaves work early on a Friday, and once he had left it would have been to late to book the Venue.
I agree this should have been checked with the Original pub to see if it was ok.
But is was not.
IMO their is too many people to have it in the pub anyway.
and with all the Hostility the club has had these past few months it is highly possible for things to turn into a heated debate. and the Pub would not apreciate this with lots of people sitting down for a Quiet Sunday lunch.

I agree. The thread has been running for weeks. We all could see what was going on with ths AGM. More and more members wanting to come. If it changes back to the origional place it will just Pizz more members off. I would say cancell it.
We need to do his right. Right place, Right time and stop changing things on a wing and a prair and hoping everybody goes along with it.

i agree...and to be honest deek...im not sure it would be as hostile as you think....the club has moved forward and at the end of the day we have to resolve issues and put them behind us and move the club forward....if people were using it as an excuse to rant and shout then they dont have the interests of the club at heart.....
we should go ahead with the origional venue and if need be we can have it in the car park weather permiting...with some flasks and the gas barbaque.....i dont care where it is....as long as its for the benefit of the club...

Firstly i would like to thank everyone who attended todays Agm.
Second i would like to apologise if it seemed like i did not know what i was doing..... thats because i did not lol
It was a Success with No B****ing whatsoever. it was very constructive, and everything was kept to facts.
Full details of the AGM will be put up for everyone to read once the Secretary has completed typing them Up.
Their were a Couple of things added late to the AGM Discussion list.
One of which was SIDC and weither or not it would be possible to re-integrate SWS back into SIDC.
I added this in after talking to Phil Stephens via email.
It was decided by Large Majority that it was the right decision to split from SIDC and the decision to split main came due to the SIDC R/O being unwilling to cooporate with the SWS committee and other coordinators.
Their was no way that could be seen to stick with SIDC with their current R/O
It was also noted by the Members that since the Split the forum has got better and all arguments have stopped, Most were worried that a return to SIDC would start the arguments again.
It has also been decided that SWS will not be looking at re-integrating with SIDC, in the Near Future.
It may be brought back up at next years AGM. if SIDC would still like to see us merge back with them.

I would like to say. Some of you are members of SIDC myself included. You have every right to post and use SIDC events and still be a member of SWS.net. But please do not involve yourself in arguments about any of the SW area sites. It just makes it look bad for all forums.

Again blaming SP, why oh why do you continue to do so? You have what you want so move on and stop laying the blame at her. there were others involved, your continuation to do this makes you personally look like you are holding a grudge.
Please stop this NOW!!!!
The M@trix

This was the General Opinion at the AGM Not Mine. It is also the Reasone we split from SIDC and Part of the Same Reason the club could not consider going back with SIDC.
I put this Information Up so Phil & Everyone else could see that SWS Discussed SIDC at the AGM.
This will all be included in the Minuits of the AGM also.
Their are No Grudges.
Derek
Without wanting to get into an argument
the Agenda was pretty clear the SWS Advanced Members had already decided before the AGM about a "Split" and had indeed Split Officially
I did not attend on that basis as a decision had been made and wasn't up for discussion
If there was a chance to clear the air and discuss matters I would have happily attended, as I had offered to prior to Christmas to try and mediate. That offer was disregarded
Now I respect everybodies decisions.
Move on !
PLEASE
Olly P
06-02-2007, 11:31 19
I'm sorry JD but it seems to me that its you that holds a grudge.
SP WAS directly responsible for the break down of relations between us and SIDC.
She lied about her position.
She lied about things Phil Stephens had or hadn't said.
She lied about events she was organising for SIDC.
She lied about ScoobyLoves position.
She lied about selling SWS Stuff on an ebay account in the name SWS without the clubs permission.
(these are just what I can remember off the top of my head)
There were others involved in the petty arguing that occurred on here but as far as I'm aware she was the only one involved in the situation between us and SIDC.
Derek is not holding a grudge but is stating facts, I'm sorry you don't like that but facts are facts.
Now could I ask you to drop it please.
Olly P
06-02-2007, 11:36 19
I would like it if we could have an opportunity to clear the air with you Phil.
I think the only problem the two clubs had with each other is that one person was playing them off against each other. We were given incorrect information and I suspect you may have been also.
Agent Smith
06-02-2007, 11:55 43
I may have seen things differently I admit, however I feel that it is both parties who could lay this to bed, SP was NOT the only one to blame! But sertain members here keep on with the fact that "everything was Jacquies fault", certain members had other agendas and wanted to find reasons for splitting. It was going to happen sooner or later.
I agree to put this behind me, if I get the same response from SWS!
I would like it if we could have an opportunity to clear the air with you Phil.
I think the only problem the two clubs had with each other is that one person was playing them off against each other. We were given incorrect information and I suspect you may have been also.
The offer was made prior to "Splitting"
The Advanced members have made it clear they want nothing to do with the SIDC and I have to respect that now

OK, my comments were facts that have been proven.
Your latest response hints at hidden agenda''s etc, but you don't back it up with any facts.
If you have proof there were other reasons for the split then lets hear it.
I rarely post on this subject because I too would like to put it all to bed and get on with everyone.
I don't think it would be too much trouble for us all to move on now.
We have a successful club despite the hiccups.
Anyone who wants to know the gory details probably does so already so I propose that we don't have a complete history lesson every time the subject is brought up.
Some of us will have to agree to differ but as we're all adults that shouldn't be too much trouble, should it?

Phil, let's be clear here: The intent of the split was so that SWS would be a stand alone Club and organise events under it's own banner and not under the SIDC umberella. Many SWS members are, and will continue to be, members of SIDC also. The vote was a MAJORITY decision, don't confuse that with unanimous.
As so many posters have said, including yourself: what's done is done - time to look ahead.

But why did the advanced members decide this?
I think the correct statement is:
"The advanced members have made it clear they want nothing to do with the SIDC, because.........Your SW RO was lying to both clubs, you were given the facts we had and yet she still remained as SIDC SW RO. This mean't you either didn't believe the facts you were given or you chose to ignore them. Either way, we had no choice."

Your opinions are noted Olly, I dont want to fall out with the club over this, I want everyone to move on. But in future the reasons for the split should be referred to as a breakdown of communications between members and leave it at that, new members dont need to know the reasons.

I completley agree JD. (wow that must be a first!)
Whatever has happened, dragging it up all the time does nothing for the club.

Yep sorry Phil this isn't helping.
Lets organise a meet to clear the air, and exchange what we know or think we know.
I appreciate we all want this to drop now. But I am keen that we should properly get other peoples side of the story as there is obviously still tension because people have very different versions of what went on.
For instance:
I don't want JD thinking I'm a *Beep**Beep**Beep**Beep* and have it in for certain people because:
A) He doesn't know some of the things I know. Or he knows that some of what I know isn't correct
Or
B) I don't know some of the stuff he knows. Or I know some of what he knows isn't correct.
If you see what I mean.:action-smiley-060:
I will discuss with Olly in Private

jd who are the members who had other agendas...and wanted a split with sidc.
i feel you need to name them and tell us these agendas.
and then they can be put to rest.
and phil from my personal point of view (and not that of the whole club)...i feel you could have supported us better and you didnt. You took jaquis side even when i could prove what we were stating. i felt quite disheartened with your input or lack off.
i keep hearing that all this needs to stop..but it is only jd and tiny who seem to think that it is all continuing and i hate to disalusion you both but the club has already moved on from sp and is doing well and the rest of the members and team actually get on really well and are working in the same direction. there is no longer ANYONE insisting they are the boss or it is their club. and the meets for this year are all in had and should be as successful as last year.
If the meeting with phil goes ahead i would like to attend please.
i can understand you wanting to stick up for your friends but im sorry we are in this position because of her actions whether you like it or not.

I have had a discussion with Derek on this matter.
I find this really frustrating !!!!
I offered to come and discuss/mediate and see the proof
but that was disregarded and you split anyway!!
What was I meant to do !!!
I have made another offer via PM to Olly
I do not intend taking this off topic again unless of course future posts need clarification or correction

JD if you want to make these kind of accusations then they should be posted up for the members to defend themselves ....and this is not so it can be an ongoing battle......
... you could have answers to what you think might have been happening and finally YOU could put it to rest seeing as its YOU who keeps bringing it up. and then we can all move on.
or is that too simple....

Small comment: Derek has mentioned on a number of occassions that SP is to blame for the split, that is what I am disagreeing with, she may be to blame in some opinions, but dont lay all the blame at her feet. That is what I disagree with, to me that is not putting things in the past.

i see where you are coming from.
jaquis behaviour didnt help matters and the lack off support from sidc were contributing factors. Then the advanced members made their deciscion to have the split.
it was not all jaquis doing.
lack off support from sidc
I offered to drive from Essex to the SWS region at my own cost [SIDC does not pay expenses] to try and resolve the issues at a mutually agreed time
Perhaps I should give up now
Glad I have stayed out of this…:rolleyes1:
The question of staying split or rejoining with SIDC was put to the members at the AGM there was a lot of SIDC members who attended but even these suggested it would cause arguments as we have had a breakdown with communication with the RO of SIDC. The members who attended indicated that the forum was doing well and arguments had come to a stop and did not want to go back to the previous arrangement. No one at the AGM had anything but praise for the SIDC but it seemed they did not want to post or use the SIDC site for fear of being slated. I have previously posted and still tell members they are free to post and attend meets with who ever they want. Of course we want the members with us. But if they do choose to use another site for meets we will not hold that against them.

why bring me into this? I brought it up a few weeks ago as Derek had copied a post that had been put on SWS and posted it on an SIDC thread of no relevance whci happened to be about the first meet of the SIDC sws. If this is the sort of bull*Beep**Beep**Beep**Beep* we`re going to have to expect then i suggest you just as well delete me now. I`m getting *Beep**Beep**Beep**Beep*ed off with all the threads etc. being locked. For example, the problems thread the other day, there was no need for Derek to reopen the thread to post a comment and then lock it again so that noone could reply. Whats the point in that?
TBH I still can`t see why anyone would want to pay the membership fees for this forum. In my opinion its certainly not worth it. No doubt theres a thread in the advanced section running JD and I to the ground anyway. I, personally have tried to stay neutral but its getting to the point its not worth bothering with this site anymore.

i know that your on channel islands tiny and therefore you cant go to the majority of meets/events organised by sws. The one thing i would say is that it is friendly (nobody would bother going if it wasnt).
Whenever theres a large group of people not everyone will get on with everyone else , thats the same in any walk of life.
Theres certainly nothing in any section having a dig in any way shape or form at yourself , jd or anyone else.
At the AGM there were people who have SIDC membership including myself but there wasnt any bickering , at some time the clubs might get closer who knows , but theres no point arguing about it whats done is done.
As for advanced membership its up to each individual to decide if its worth it for them. I reckon 50 p a week is good value.
just my opinion:wink:

when you add the vast ages of people on forums like bob, derek, carl, martin the boys at tileys, no affence ment and who ever else and you add it all together where else can you get this wealth of knowledge.
if it hadn't been for most of the people on here like bob, derek, carl, martin the boys at tileys etc, sorry if i have missed any one, there are still alot of people on here i havn't mentioned, then i would of made alot more costly mistakes on my scooby.

This is what i done with Jaqui and i get accused of bullying her. I will remain as i am and if i have issues with someone i will say it to them to their face.

These members are welcome to use whayever sites they like

maybe but was there really any need for derek to comment after the thread had been closed?
it was locked before anyone had a chance to comment
1 , i was thrown off the sws committee for helping my wife set her own site up.
A vote was cast and passed that as you were Admin of a banned member it was thought this would work against SWS.
2 , every time i suggested anything i was shot down in flames by every committee member except 1 , who i still have emails from saying he should of supported me and my wife .
I think the committee did listen to what you had to say and a lot of things change because of it.
3 i have pages of crap from this site , and secret areas running people down like children in a playground .
You were part of the so say secret area's. this was the committee room that is now open for advanced members to see.
4 my wife was relieved of her position for deleting a butlins thread , because she couldnt afford to pay an up front deposit of £300 , we arent made of money and she had an opinion which a certain committee member agreed with , another committee member did nothing yet sit on the fence .
Your wife was banned for deleting the pontins and butlins threads yes but she had opened a new site and had them advertised there. Money does not come into it. The events could have been passed onto another person. SL has now taken over this and is sorting the events out.
scoobylove has a major problem which started may 2006 with scooby princess and has literally bullied her at meets FACT**
6 sidc is one of the best clubs around , the people there are friendly , knowledgeable and mature and i would pay £100 if i had to for a years membership as its damned well worth it .Phil stephens is a cracking bloke with a heart of gold ,like jd and tiny both are , and tell the truth and do it to peoples faces NOT IN LITTLE SECRET AREAS
If you want to stay with SIDC go ahead I have no problem with that.
7 how can people who have never met sp run her down?
I would not know.
8 it seems now to be the intentions of sws to run out or take sidc members like bigknd , somerset scooby etc etc .
No intentions of doing this. Once again I say any member of SWS can go to any others event or meet and not have it held against them
9 does alan jeffreys know about how much tileys and interpro are paying for advertising ?
You will have to ask him. I do not know what any of the advertisers pay.

Because we hold rolling roads at lots of differant places. The AP rolling road is just another of the rolling roads we use. This is nothing gainst Alan or Martin. I do not know anything about other forums RR's but have never heard anyone discourage anyone against them.

6 sidc is one of the best clubs around , the people there are friendly , knowledgeable and mature and i would pay £100 if i had to for a years membership as its damned well worth it .Phil stephens is a cracking bloke with a heart of gold ,like jd and tiny both are , and tell the truth and do it to peoples faces NOT IN LITTLE SECRET AREAS
sidc maybe a good club just as good as anyother, all clubs have there good points and bad points just like i experianced.
so how come i have been to two sidc meetings tried to join in talk to people and they just act as if your not there, don't introduce themselves or nothing.
i went to my first sws meeting, they couldn't have been more welcoming.
9 does alan jeffreys know about how much tileys and interpro are paying for advertising ?
and i didn't know interpro where paying for advertising, if so i haven't seen an advert anywhere.

MOTION SECONDED ..... THIS SITE IS BECOMING A POLITICAL SLAGGING GROUND AND THE ONES WHO ARE DOING IT WILL BE THE ONLY ONES LEFT ON THIS SITE THEREAFTER IF THIS IS THE PATH IT CONTINUES .... IF I WAS A NEW MEMBER OR LOOKING TO BECOME A MEMBER AND KEEP SEEING THESE TYPES OF THREADS COMING UP THEN I WOULDN'T EVEN BE CONTEMPLATING STAYING...... LET ALONE JOINING
THE CLUB AND IT'S FORUMS USED TO BE A GREAT PLACE TO COME AND CHAT, AND GOOD MEETINGS HAD...... NO MORE I'M AFRAID !!!
IT'S A POLITICAL MINE FIELD .... WATCH WHERE YOU TREAD AND WHAT YOU SAY IN CASE SOMETHING ELSE SPARKS OFF !!!
WE ARE ALL SUPPOSED TO BE ADULTS DRIVING HIGH PERFORMANCE CARS, NOT CHILDREN IN THE PLAYGROUND ARGUING WHO DID OR DID NOT PUSH IN FRONT OF YOU IN THE TUCK SHOP QUE
GIVE IT UP OR GROW UP , FOR THOSE WHO DON'T LIKE WHAT I HAVE SAID THEN TOUGH !!
well said Le plumbiere ;)
Yes this thread reminds me of what the place was like 6 months ago when all the threads were like this.:rolleyes1:

it is the same people who are causing all the trouble. and unfortunately if i am accused of something which i havent done i will speak up. whether its here or at a meet.
the majority who have met me i hope would agree i am friendly enough. (for a rotweiller).....and 99% of the time am very happy go lucky...
these arguments are continually being brought up by the same people and they are going over and over the same stuff. the majority of us have moved on from this ..why can they not do so too.
if they are doing this on other sites then maybe that is what is dettering people from visiting their site or meets.

Scoobylove , you went to sp and accused her of lying about having an epileptic fit , if you would of gave a toss and rang her like lou did ,a couple of days later , sp could hardly speak on the phone where her tongue was bitten and swollen .
thats right ben i did say that along with some other things. i dont believe her. for someone who had carpet burns all over her head and an infected nose they healed up pretty sharpish. less than 2 weeks later they were all miraculously healed....not even red marks where there would have been new skin over the apparently severely affected area....a miracle or what....but that is just my oppinion..
why would i pick up the phone.....jaqui had lied to the committee to have me removed from my position...because she didnt get the birthday party she wanted and cos i called her a selfish spoiled brat....i dont treat my friends like that and i am not that stuck for friends i need to accept that. and if i was annoyed by jaqui i admit yes i was then....but always said it out in the open.
You have wanted sp gone since may 2006 , and have done everything in your power to get rid .
i have no power....i cannot do that alone and to put you straight I DID NOT vote to have jaqui removed....i voted to keep her....

if that is what the man wants, honour what he has asked, and lets try to become friends, the world is too small for enemies, i have recently lost a close friend who was killed out in iraq, and i cant talk to him no more the world is too small for all this haterid,
i don't know what has happened in the past and to be honest i don't want to know, so lets just get on.
you never know when somebody may bump into each other at a show, or where ever what are the people involved going to do just ignore each other, act as if each other was not there.
maybe bygones should be bygones.
oh and scoobylove, you couldn't be smother than a :party0006: smoothie.

over the last few weeks/months the club has been doing really well, going from strength to strength....until crap like this is brought up....no doubt it will happen again....but this is one of the reasons that it will take time to reconsided merging with sidc...because this is what we will get....
harmony .....i think not....

Bob the butlins thread is not on lou's site , she tried renegotiating with no luck
the pontins one was changed to a much farther away date , so she didnt have to pay deposits to them too .
the threads were taken down as at the time she wasnt going to bother doing them . yet when she opened ds she decided to hell with the lot of you .for about a week before louise was thinking of leaving sws anyway she had mentioned it to yourself , and to dspeed .
Scoobylove , you went to sp and accused her of lying about having an epileptic fit , if you would of gave a toss and rang her like lou did ,a couple of days later , sp could hardly speak on the phone where her tongue was bitten and swollen .

i want to know why my wife is being ran down to complete strangers
i was admin on c.i scoobies for 12 months and wasnt thrown off of the committee .
also the members voted me in , they should of voted me out .
paranoid , my wife is not paranoid at all .
so come on let me know why did you all crap on her? possibly because she stood up for sp , possibly because she was standing up for the area organisers when olly wanted rid , or maybe because she said the members should run the club , funnily enough all things that have happened now
oh well
anyway i would like my account removed , all my posts and pictures of my car including at meets , and family moved , and louise has asked for the same as there is still a lot of stuff from her on here and the pictures are our property legally
i want no association with sws , myself and my family are happy as we are now proud members of sidc .
Unfortunatly when you delete a user, all their posts remain, and unregistered user apears under their username.
their are thousands of posts, deleting them would take days if not weeks of someones time. it would also delete other members posts if they posted in the same thread if you or Lou started that thread.
I believe legally we can delete your accounts, and not have to remove any of your posts.
I will check this with Invision. as i know they deal with the Copyright.
All posts pics etc on this forum are Covered under Copyright protection when you buy the Licence, hence why the Copyright information gets added to the footer of the forum when you use a Registered version of the Vbuletin software.
Which means no one can copy anything from the Site without the Express permission of the Owners.
I believe you have just admited a copyright Infringement.
All of the bickering has to stop and you have come on to help it continue. IMO

if thats the case then why aren`t we all banned, clearly we`re not welcome here anyway.
we`ve tried moving on but Derek (the chairman/admin/supposed to be the most responsible one of the lot) continues his vendetta against SIDC, SP, Lou and anyone friendly or associated with them. While he is in charge of this club it will die. Simple as that really.

sorry if thats the case why have we got so many new active members on the forum.....
anyone notice how its only the newer members that are paying for membership though? Not including staff, how many users of the forum today have been advanced members in comparison to unpaid members? Like was said long ago, this forum outgrew itself. Its too big to be a small club but not big enough to make it on its own

thats not true tiny. you are all welcome but there is a lot af baiting goes on from you all and people are gonna defend themselves....or be held to randsom that private posts are gonna be put on for others to view...this is hardly adding to the harmony of the site and to be fair, theres only so long we can ignore it....the members are left wondering what the hell is going on anyway....
