Forum Rules!
South West Scoobies is a free site and is run by enthusiasts who are not paid to do so. Please respect the fact that the admin and moderators have a job to do.
The Use of this site indicates that you agree to abide by the following rules.
1. Images and Content -

Do not post images or content that is not
suitable for this site. There is no age restriction on South West Scoobies, so
please do not post material, which is in bad taste or of a pornographic nature,
is permitted in any part of the forum other than the Adults area. Images may be
removed at the discretion of staff members.
2. Swearing -
Although there are swear filters here, please do not use derivatives or disguised swear words. The filters are there to filter this stuff out.
And are not an invitation to try and get
around them. Continual abuse of this rule may result in action from South West
Scoobies staff.
3. Advertising
-
Please do not Spam the forums with adverts - all adverts must go in the classifieds.
Please click HERE! to view the Advertising Rules, before posting or replying to an Ad.
4. Abusive Posts, P.M's & Email -
Most of us here are grown up enough to get on nicely with each other, but some like to make life difficult for others.
This could be in the shape of prejudice or targeting a specific user or social group.
If a user bothers you, simply add them to your ignore list.
Abuse towards other users may result in action from South West Scoobies staff.
Abuse to any Member of Staff will Result in an Immediate Ban.
Please report abuse via the "Report Bad Post" link under each post.
5. Moderation -

Staff can close, remove, edit or move posts or threads at their discretion in order to maintain a harmony on the site.
If a post you have made has been moderated, please live with it.
The South West Scoobies Team, does not edit posts, Warn or Suspend Members. for the fun of it and do not have time to justify themselves.
Threads questioning staff
action will be closed or removed. Abuse towards South West Scoobies staff will
not be tolerated and may result in gagging or in severe cases, banning. Please
remember that no staff member is paid to do their job, please don't make life
difficult for them.
6.
Do Not Deliberately Bump Old Posts -

This site contains old posts. It is not acceptable to bring old post back to the top of the forum.
This confuses users and brings up old views or facts that just are no longer relevant or correct.
If there is a genuine reason for bringing up an old thread, why not start a new thread and paste a link to the old one?
Staff reserves the right to close old posts which have been bumped.
Deliberate bumping of old threads
specifically to confuse people will result in further action from South West
Scoobies staff.
7. Avatars & Signatures -

These are available to All paid Members. These should ideally be static images, preferably of you or your car.
You MUST NOT use these to advertise companies, unless you are a paid advertiser.
And you must not directly link to any site that's not a paid advertiser.
Staff and South West Scoobies Senior members will be permitted animated images.
They must also conform to the general
image rules. Distracting Avatars may be removed at the discretion of South West
Scoobies staff.
8. Abuse towards Companies 
The abuse towards companies within the Subaru community will not be acceptable, any threads that could turn into and/or are already an abusing thread towards any company will be removed. And an Immediate 48hr Suspension Placed on that members Account.
Reoccurring abuse will result in a Permanent Ban.
If you have a problem with a tuning company, venting your anger on here will not solve it.
This includes all companies offering club
members discount.
9. Multiple accounts -

Multiple accounts are not permitted at South West Scoobies,
if you wish to change your username, please PM your request to Derek.
Anyone found with more than one account will have both accounts deleted.
Any banned user making a second account will instantly have that account banned.
Anyone allowing a banned user use their account will have their account banned too.
10.
Administrators Decision is Final -
The customer is Always right. In this case it is not.
The Administrator and Moderators are
always right, their decision is Final.
11.
Slanderous Remarks -

Please refrain from posting any adverse words, comments and or remarks about any person wither a member of this Forum or Not.
We have brought the club forward to prosper, and we do not wish to be faced with the possibility of being sued for Slander.
Any Member, Doing so does this entirely at your own Risk. And The Owner of this Forum, Domain, Neither Administrators, Moderators nor any other Member shall be held liable for the actions of the person in breach of this rule.
Any Member, Moderator or Administrator found to be in breach of this will face a posting ban. Period to be determined by committee.
Repeatedly breaking this Rule will Foresee a Permanent Ban.
12. Viewing the Forums -

It is free to Register on SWS, however most features are only available to paid members.
Only paid members will be able to show their car at events and buy discounted tickets for the shows through the club.
13. Admission -

The Owner Of the Forum & the South West Scoobies Team Reserve the Right To Refuse Admission.
Without an Explanation. The Owner & South West Scoobies Team Also reserve the Right To,
Ban, Suspend, Gag or Delete a Member.
The South West Scoobies Team, does not Refuse Admission for the fun of it and do not have time to justify themselves.

Please remember that no staff member is
paid to do their job, please don't make life difficult for them.
Breaking the rules
-

I have listed below some of the actions that will
be taken if a member breaks any of the Forum Rules
If a forum member breaks any of the rules at South West Scoobies,
the actions that will be taken by the Admin /
Moderators are listed below
Warnings – No warnings have to be given. A mod may a times give warnings in a
post.
A member will be “Suspended” by having their forum member user account disabled
for 7days for a 1st offence. These suspensions will be kept on record for 6
months.
If a 2nd suspension is given within the 6 months
a 21day suspension will be given. This will also be kept on record for 6 months.
For a 3rd offence in the 6 month period a Permanent Ban – The member
will be banned from the forums for good.
Admin / Moderator privileges can be removed if
offences are made by admin/moderators.
Each case will not be dealt with on its own merits this is an automatic
suspension.
The South West Scoobies Team will NOT decide on the severity of the punishment.
These rules are subject to change without warning.
